Illawarra Children's Services is a not-for-profit community organisation, governed by an elected board of community volunteers.

The Board of Directors includes parents, children's services professionals, and experts in disability services, education, law and a range of business disciplines.

The Board's primary responsibility is to determine the strategic direction of the organisation.

Membership of Illawarra Children's Services is a prerequisite to joining the Illawarra Children's Services Board.
