Come and make a mess at our space! Creative arts classes for children aged 3-13 years.

Artspace is a new kids arts studio located in Corrimal. We offer visual arts classes for children aged 3-13 years of age. Our classes are fun and inspiring and are tailored to your child's unique abilities. All classes are taught by practising artists and educators and are inspired by the Reggio approach to arts education.

The Artspace Philosophy

We believe that through the visual arts, children become braver and more investigative in their approach and focus while their interpretative skills are developed. The visual arts can boost self confidence and esteem and teach 'cause and effect' and a clearer view as to the way the things around us connect. July School Holiday Workshops:

Artspace will be holding a range of exciting, School Holiday Workshops for children aged 5-7 years. The workshops will be held each Friday in the school holidays from 10am till 12noon. $20 per class (includes art supplies).

For older children (7 to 12 years) we are running the very exciting Creative Arts School Holiday program at West Wollongong Public School from 9am till 5pm daily. Click here for the full program and booking details.

Friday 9 July 2010. Artist's Books: Things of Flight

Choose to tell the tale in drawings of the flight of a bird over strange lands, the twisting fall of an autumn leaf from a tall tree, or an astronaut whizzing off to another world. We will create a very interesting and original concertina artist's book with the works you make.

Friday 16 July 2010. 3D Painting: Any Shape or Form

Using paint and sculptural materials we will make a 'stand-out painting'. We will draw and paint onto our canvases and then make it really interesting by adding some sculptural forms to change its shape or make it jump out at you.

Term three starts Tuesday 20 July 2010 and runs for 10 weeks. Classes are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Preschool classes (for children aged 3-5 years with mum, dad or a carer)
- 9.30am-10.15am
- 10.30am-11.15am

Children aged 5-8 years
- 3.30pm-4.30pm

Children aged 8-12 years
- 4.45pm-5.45pm

You can still try out a class before committing to the 10 week program but you must book as places are filling up fast! Call 4283 9967 to make your booking.

We are also an excursion venue for Preschools, Primary schools, Playgroups and Family Day Care. Bookings can be made at any time on Mondays or Fridays, and between 11.30am and 3.00pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Maximum group size is 15 (minimum 8 children).
