The Supporting Children with Additional Needs (SCAN) scheme aims
to provide eligible State only funded children's services with
the resources to assist children with additional needs to have
equal access to a quality early childhood or vacation care experience.
The SCAN scheme is funded by the NSW
Department of Community Services (DoCS). Illawarra Children's
Services manages the SCAN scheme in the Illawarra, Southern NSW
and South West Sydney areas.
SCAN funding scheme
The SCAN funding scheme provides a contribution towards the cost
of a child's placement in an eligible State funded children's
service in the Southern (Illawarra and Southern NSW) and South
West Sydney areas.
Illawarra Children's Services also delivers support to include
children with additional needs from the SCAN target groups

Child Care Benefit (CCB) are eligible to apply for SCAN funding.
