South Coast Children's Festival - Inspiring Children's Creativity

The heart of Wollongong was transformed into a playground of sensory delight over the September/October long weekend.

The South Coast Children's Festival promised three jam-packed days of amazing theatre, awesome workshops, colourful roving performers at Illawarra Performing Arts Centre and Civic Plaza in Wollongong - and it sure delivered!

Full of colour, music and beaming smiles, the centre of Wollongong was full of children (and parents) surrendering their senses to the creative forces.

The journey kicked-off with the Illawarra Children's Services Creativity Conference on September 29, with special guest speakers from around Australia exploring ways to inspire children's learning through creativity.

Thank you to our partner Merrigong Theatre Company, the entertainers, the fantastic volunteers and to the families for coming along and supporting Illawarra Children's Services and the South Coast Children's Festival.
